Stupid email legal disclaimers

I'm seeing a lot of riduculous confidentiality disclaimers on emails lately so I've decided to write my own. Please feel free to use as you see fit!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/DISCLAIMER

This document should be read only by those persons to whom it is addressed. If you have received this message, then it was addressed to you and therefore you can read it, even if I didn’t mean to send it to you, in which case please let me know so I can send it to the right person. By sending an email to my addresses I will assume that I am "the intended recipient" and I will certainly read it and act upon it, even if it is to tell you that you’ve sent it to me by mistake. Please note that disclaimers usually seek to impose a contractual obligation unilaterally, and are unenforceable, and so not worth the time it would take to read them, which nobody does, and only include them as they see others doing the same thing. As such, this one overrides any disclaimer or statement of confidentiality that may be included on your message.

ProTechU new website launched

I've been asked to produce a website for a local First Aid company, ProTechU, based in Doncaster. Check out the site! http://protechu.wordpress.com/, and if you are interested in the very competitively priced courses on offer, please contact me direct.

"Reach Out to China" project launched

As a result of a request from one of Doncaster College's partner institutions in China, I have created a Facebook group with the goal of putting British students in touch with Chinese students.

Here are the details:

Ever wondered what life is like in China? Would you like to make friends with a Chinese person, or even improve your Chinese? Thinking of visiting there one day?

Reach out to China is a project to bring British and Chinese students together.

There are lots of Chinese students who would love to make friends with British students (and also non-students) and share their experiences and to help them with their language skills.

They'd like to know more about English culture and are looking for nice people in Britain to make friends with.

Facebook is restricted in China which means it is difficult for Chinese students to make contact with people in the UK.

Please join the group if you are interested and I will be able to put you in touch with a student in China!

The ten most difficult to remember world capital cities

For me they have to be certain Pacific and Caribbean islands:

Pacific
Nauru - no specific capital, but usually given as Yaren district.
Palau - Ngerulmud, which is in the state of Melekeok, on the island of Babledaob
Tuvalu - Funafuti
Kiribati - Tarawa Atoll; specifically South Tarawa.
Vanuatu - Port Vila
Federated States of Micronesia - Palikir

Carribean
Antigua & Barbuda - St John's
Grenada - St George's
St Kitts & Nevis - Basseterre
St Vincent & The Grenadines - Kingstown

Hopeful this aide memoire will help me remember.
