West Brom beat descending Middleborough 3-0, making Hull's impressive early points accumulation look all of a sudden precarious. West Brom's win puts Tottenham at least temporarily bottom, Blackburn put Newcastle (descending) down by 3 goals to nil, Man City scraped past Wigan to also climb. West Ham and Fulham, both on 26 points and with superior goal difference, will overtake take Hull when they meet each other on Sunday.
