Facts About South Western Australia

This is where I'm going shortly. Lots of information on Australian Tourism Net.

Biodiversity "hotspot", containing vast forests of Karri, Jarrah and other trees, like the Tingle, seen here.

Possible variance in scale - not sure how good Google Earth is nowadays, but this is how they compare, sizewise.

Fever Ray - When I Grow Up (Lissvik Version)

This is the new single from Fever Ray, aka Karin from The Knife. I've come across this version of the tune by someone called "D Lissvik", which is a little more upbeat than the original version I've seen on Youtube, and features a more rhythmic guitar part and other DJ friendly instrumentals. Album out 30th March.

Absolute Body Control Dropped From Nonsense in the Dark

Today I received an album I've been looking forward to for a while now today, and was dismayed to find out that the track Absolute Body Control (vocals by Tim Lawton of Late of the Pier) has been replaced with "Light Skips Cross Heart" (also with Tim Lawton's vocals).

This comes as a big disappointment as the Body Control track is an "absolute" corker, and is a little mysterious as the track appears on the tracklisting at HMV and Amazon, which is where I bought my copy from.

Update 20:03:09
I contacted Filthy Dukes management who confirmed that German group D.A.F. who wrote the original would not allow them to include the song at the 11th hour and 59th minute.
In the meantime, the track may be downloadable as part of their November 2008 mixtape on their website

Tiefschwarz - Never

Here's a new section of my blog - great tunes from yesteryear resurrected and given a fresh airing.

First up it's a great track from 7 years ago, Tiefschwarz's "Never", quite sublime I'm sure you'll agree. Lower quality mp3 uploaded and will be here for about a week - check out the rest of the album "Ral9005" for more early 90s German deep house goodness.
